Gonzales, La. (August 22, 2025) — Sugarfield Spirits, a Louisiana-based distillery known for its handcrafted small-batch spirits, wins multiple awards at this year’s New Orleans Spirits Competition, presented by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation.

Sugarfield’s Spiced Rum earned a Bronze Medal, while both its Experimental Batch 8 and Sugarfield Honey Liqueur received Gold Medals, signifying top-tier recognition for quality, craftsmanship and complexity across aroma, taste, balance and finish.

Experimental Batch 8 was named a finalist and advanced to the live tasting round. Sugarfield ultimately tied for third place in the overall rum category.

Spirits are blind-tasted in two rounds by esteemed bartenders, distillers, writers and beverage professionals. Finalists in each category advance to a live championship round, offering both transparency and an immersive educational experience for industry peers and audience members alike.
